DIY | Create your very own Holdie Folk Cavepeople
YABBA DABBA DOO, we teamed up with our clever friend Jenni of @myweebuddy to create a prehistoric Holdie World DIY! Upcycle all those odd socks and fabric scraps into the funkiest stone-age tunics around.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED
DON’T HAVE A HOLDIE FOLK?
Watch the HOW-TO video and follow the steps below
Choose different color socks for two unique ancient looks.
Cut down the middle, holding onto the toe side end of each sock.
Cut off the excess fabric, so the front and back are the same lengths.
Using a pen or pencil and ruler, outline each unique pattern onto the fabric
Cut out the pattern.
Gather the recycled fabric, scissors, and twine.
Cut a handful of small triangles and glue or stitch them ( using the needle and thread ) onto your first look
Cut enough twine for a belt and two long rectangular fabric strips to wrap around each ankle for the second look.
Glue around each ankle ( or use a needle and thread! ) so they are secure and cut off any excess fabric.
Tie the twine around their tummies as a little belt.
Ensure the garments are dry if you used a glue gun and BAM all done, time to play!
